Did you know that certain events in your life, such as getting married or having a baby, can affect your benefits coverage?

If you experience a qualifying life event you may make changes to some of your benefits within 30 days of the event. Any change you make must be consistent with your qualified life event.

Click on one of the qualified life events to see a checklist of actions you must take in order to change your benefits, the supporting materials you will need to provide to the Benefits Administration Office and other options that you may want to consider.

  • Marriage
  • Divorce or Legal Separation
  • Birth or Adoption of Child
  • Death of your Spouse or Dependent Child
  • Termination or commencement of your spouse's employment
  • Change in your job status
    (From full-time to part-time or part-time to full-time)
  • You take an unpaid Leave of Absence
  • You return from an unpaid Leave of Absence
