Collaborative Projects: Research projects where students collaborate with other students or classes

Global Schoolhouse: the granddaddy of them all. All subjects; search by subject or grade level.

Pathfinder Science: WOW! A site which prides itself in " creating student scientists, not just science students." Not to be missed.Started by a US Dept of Ed Challenge Grant.

CIESE Online Classroom Projects: science projects using real-time data; history projects using primary sources & archives; no fee.

Education Place's (Houghton Mifflin) Project Center: search by subject for a project, or create your own

Sites Alive! A subscription service;students participate by learning alongside students doing research in remote locations. Students write journals, participate in research, and participate in discussion boards: History, Science, Math, and the Arts.

 
 Keypals Projects: email projects where students correspond with other students

Intercultural Email Classroom: from teaching.com, a service for teachers seeking partner classrooms. Includes an area for classes which wish to post surveys with an international audience.

Keypals Club: also from teaching.com

ePals: Keypal, projects, moderated discussion boards, instant translators

KidLink: a program designed for youth, to promote international understanding. Students participate in a monitored listserv. Lesson plans included for teachers.

KidsCom Keypals: groups of kids can find Keypals, or join in a live chat monitored by an adult. Has a younger look to it.
