Battery Care

  • Never mix partially charged batteries with fresh batteries.
  • Wipe terminals with cloth before use.
  • Never let terminals touch each other – batteries will drain!
  • Never let terminals touch metal (e.g., keys in your pocket).
  • Battery performance deteriorates in cold weather! If outside for a long period of time, remove the batteries, store in an inner pocket (but don’t let terminals touch)

Rechargeable Batteries

  • Rechargeable batteries lose about 1% of charge per day, even if not used; for best performance, they should be charged once per month.
  • When recharging, slow or trickle charge is best…recharge the day before you know you need to use the camera.
