Cluster 6-2
Celebrates Earth Day

On Wednesday, April 22nd, cluster 6-2 students and teachers recognized Earth Day by cleaning up Broadview Middle School.  The cluster began the day by improving the inside of the school through recycling, reducing, and reusing.  The students additionally worked to clean up the grounds at the school.  They picked up over 50 bags of trash and debris!  Furthermore, many 6-2 students worked cooperatively with students from cluster 6-1 to weed and beautify the “Peace Garden” in front of the school.

The day culminated in a special viewing of the Disney movie Earth at Bank Street Theater in New Milford, CT.  This was a special treat for 6-2 students because for each of the 162 tickets purchased that day by the cluster, Disney planted a tree.

Earth Day!
