How much video can I use? 
Up to 3 minutes only OR 10% of the work, whichever is less. 

 If a video is LONGER than 30 minutes, you may use up to 3 minutes of it. 

  If a video is SHORTER than 30 minutes, you can use up to 10% of it.

Can I use someone else’s video in my project?
As long as you or your teacher will NOT post it on the Internet, the rules are:
 
  1.  Must be LEGAL(not bootleg) copies of:
•    DVD’s
•    Multimedia Encyclopedia Clips
•    QuickTime Movies
•    Video clips from the Internet
 
  1.  You must  cite your source to give proper credit
  2.  You must follow the length rules in the box on the right.

Example #1: A Video Clip, 3 minutes long
 3 X 60 = 180 seconds.
  10% of this is 18 seconds, which is LESS than 3 minutes.
    You may use up to 18 seconds of this video clip.

Example #2: A video you bought is 35 minutes long
   This video is longer than 30 minutes, so...
    You may use up to 3 minutes of this video clip.
