Summer Math Calendars

Dear Parents,

We cannot believe how fast this school year flew by. Your child had a super year and made progress in our Growing with Math program. To maintain this progress, we ask that you take time to do some simple activities with them. Below you will find a summer calendar of math activities for you and your child to experiment with over the vacation.  Some of the activities require pencil and paper, some are conversational, and some are based on physical activities.  We tried to make many of them hands-on in order to maintain your child’s interest. We have even included web sites that you can access at the Danbury Library if you do not have a computer at home. Please take some time to do these activities. You may even find yourself repeating ones that can be done while you are driving in the car, watching TV, or listening to the radio.

We ask that you write your answers on the calendar if there is room. Please use a separate piece of paper to show any work, and don’t forget to attach it when you return it to your child’s teacher in September at the beginning of our next school year.

Remember, “Math is FUN” and can be found in so many of the games you already have around your house. So help your child maintain his/her math skills this summer by following the calendar and playing games.

ENJOY your vacation and see you next school year.
