Welcome to Ellsworth Avenue Elementary School (formerly Roberts Avenue). What an exciting start we have had to the new school year! It is very interesting to open a new building, so many things to figure out and so many things to learn and experience. I believe that this experience has helped us all to see things a little more through the eyes of our children, as if we’re seeing it all for the very first time, which of course, we are.

The staff and myself are very excited that we made “Annual Yearly Progress” as measured by state testing and NCLB standards. We know we work hard for and with our students and it is great to be able to see the results of our work. I can assure you that our standards are set high and we will support each child in reaching their potential.

We will maintain a nurturing environment for all children with the goal of developing them educationally, socially and emotionally. We need you to work with us. Please take some time to volunteer in your child’s class. Even if it is just for one hour a month we would love your help.
