The Danbury High School Based Health Center (SBHC) has been serving DHS students for over 15 years. It is a licensed out- patient clinic that provides free medical, mental health, and dental services to students who have a SBHC consent on file. A parent or guardian must complete a consent for all students under the age of 18. This consent gives the SBHC staff permission to work with your child. The services are free to all students without regard to insurance status. The office is open from 8 am to 2 pm when school is in session. We do not replace your medical provider but strive to keep students healthy, in school, and successful by providing on-site medical, dental and mental health services. An added benefit is that parents can often remain at work while their child is being seen at the SBHC.
