Why Teach in Danbury?

Teachers who choose to launch or continue their career in the Danbury Public School District do so because of the eclectic mix of urban and suburban settings in which our students learn. With over 10,000 students representing a wide spread of socio-economic groups who learn and interact with each other, and a certified staff of nearly 900, our teachers experience real commitment to their professional development.

Additionally, Danbury offers opportunities to be associated with a faculty that has a stellar reputation for its commitment to excellence. Our district is comprised of 18 schools - 14 elementary and 4 secondary schools, with enlightened philosophy and leadership.
